This award recognizes the outstan4ing contributions of this organization in improving access to religious and communitY programs fof people with disabilities. Founded in l887, this synagogue has long been a central pill~r of the Key West community. The congregation supported Jose Marti's revolution in Cuba, forming an enduring link between the Keys and Cuba. l After a tragic arson fire in 2002, B'Nai Zion's building was rebuilt wi It ~ll access for I I disabled congregants and visitors. Since the destruction of their building by Hurricane Wilma in 2005, B'nai Zion has generously shared its refurbish~d facility with Unity of the Florida Keys.
