Monroe County Sheriff's Department 5525 College Road Key West, Florida 33040 Dear Sheriff Roth: This is to request your assistance with financial support for the KEY WFST HIGH SCHOOL CONCHE1TES. The Conchettes are a long standing Key West tradition. This dance team has been in existence at Key West High School for 50 years. Students perform dance routines at local football games, parades, children's events, etc. The experience of being a Conchette helps these young ladies to grow, not only as performers, but as well rounded citizens in our community. We are in need of financial support to assist us in replacing our unifonn hats: Over the years our organization has been recognized by our red fringed hats; these hats are no longer readily available. I have found a company in Texas that will custom make our red Concnette nats for $350.00 a piece. I would like to purchase 20 hats to insure that this remaining Key West tradition does not pass. With your $7000.00 donation I will order 20 hats to outfit our group' for years to come. It would be greatly appreciated if the Monroe County Sheriffs Department would help support the Key West High School Conchettes. If I can provide you with any further information, please contact me at 305-791-3753 cell or at home 305-292-6932. I can also be reached by email at brand v .fausett@kevsschools.com. Brandy G. Klaus and Harold L. Murphy Foundation Dear Mrs. Leto: Randy Moore and I appreciate the time that you spent with us last week to show us Samuel's House and the fine work that is done there. We were most impressed with your organization and the services that you provide for women who are less than fortunate in Key West. Your vision to provide long-term help and shelter to women at Kathy's Hope, while they seek to get their lives in order, should be applauded. It is our understanding that you have previously raised substantial funding toward the cost of this project and need approximately $150,000 in additional funds to cover final costs. As a result of our visit with you, The Klaus/Murphy Foundation would like to offer a two for one challenge grant to Kathy's Hope. The maximum amount payable by the Foundation will be $100,000. All dollars to be matched must be submitted prior to April 30, 2007. The match will expire on that date. All hard dollar donations made after July I, 2006 will count for this challenge; pledged dollars will not. We ask that you provide us with a list of those individuals or corporations who have donated to Kathy's Hope for this challenge with the date and amount of their donation for our records. This information will be held in strict confidence. We will pay match dollars on a monthly basis. If you have any questions about this, please let Randy or me know. Susan E.
