Re: Notice of Voting Conflict
I am advising you that I have conflicts of interest in two matters that will come before the BOCC.
These are:
1. WestCare and its subsidiary or related organizations - The conflict in this instance is my contractual
arrangement with this entity.
2. Library matters where a vote by the BOCC could affect my daughter -in -laws hours, thereby inuring to the
special private gain of a relative.
I understand from the advise of the County Attorney that while I may not vote on motions particular to the funding of the care
centers or the increase /decrease in hours of the library being open I may participate in the general discussion of the Board if a
written memo is filed with the Clerk prior to the meeting.
At this time there are no specific aspects of these two matters that I intend to discuss. In the event that I feel I can contribute
information not otherwise included in discussion by others I would like the option to participate in the discussion.
I also under that I can vote on the overall budget even if other members of the BOCC have voted on motions particular to the
above mentioned items.
