A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE
FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR THE FFY 2013 -14
RESIDENTIAL SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT (RSAT) PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement has announced the
funding for Federal Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 Residential Substance Abuse Treatment
(RSAT) Program; and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Board of Commissioners is the eligible applicant
representing a county in the State of Florida in the preparation and submission of the
grant proposal in the amount of $50,000 with a cash match of $16,667; and
WHEREAS, to be eligible for consideration of funding, applications were required
to be submitted using the FDLE Subgrant Information Management On -Line (SIMON)
grant management system no later than August 23, 2013 with hard copies submitted to
FDLE, Office of Criminal Justice Grants by August 30, 2013; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. The Board of County Commissioners ratifies the submission of the
Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) grant application; and that
2. The County Administrator is hereby authorized to sign and submit the
application packet, acceptance of award and all related documents for the
Federal Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 grant funds to the Florida Department of Law
Enforcement, Office of Criminal Justice Grants, Residential Substance Abuse
Treatment (RSAT) Program; and that
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption by the
Board of County Commissioners and execution by the Presiding Officer and
Clerk.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 17 day of September, 2013.
