AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to re- appoint Mr. Frank Toppino, ENG I 132A,
Alternate, to one additional three -year term to the Contractors Examining Board (CEB) beginning
June 12, 2017 and ending June 11, 2020.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The Contractors' Examining Board (CEB) voted unanimously to
recommend the re- appointment of Mr. Frank Toppino, ENG I 132A, Alternate, to the CEB at the
March 14, 2017 meeting.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: The Board first appointed Mr. Toppino on May 12'
1999. Mr. Toppino was re- appointed by the BOCC to three year terms in April, 2005, February
2008, May 2011, and June 2014. On March 21, 2007, the BOCC approved advertising the
amendment to M.C.C. Section 6 -85 repealing term limits for members of the CEB. The ordinance
was amended effective May 2, 2007 removing term limitations. Per M.C.C. 6- 264.(a), regular
voting members and two (2) alternate voting members are appointed by the Board of County
Commission (BOCC).
