AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to re- appoint previous member Mr. William F. Kelly III,
EC525- ER0009586, Registered Electrical Contractor, to one three -year term to the Contractors
Examining Board (CEB) beginning May 9th , 2017 and ending May 8th, 2020.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The Contractors Examining Board (CEB) voted to unanimously to
recommend the appointment of Mr. William F. Kelly III, EC525- ER0009586, Registered Electrical
Contractor, to the CEB at the March 14 2017 meeting.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: The BOCC appointed Mr. Kelly on October 2000
to a three (3) year term. Mr. Kelly was unanimously re- appointed in October 2003 and 2006.
On March 21, 2007, the BOCC approved advertising the amendment to M.C.C. Section 6 -85
repealing term limits for members of the CEB. The ordinance was amended effective May 2,
2007 removing term limitations.
On January 20, 2010, BOCC re- appointed Mr. Kelly to one (1) additional three (3) year term
retroactive to October 18, 2009 and term expiring October 18, 2012. On October 17, 2012,
BOCC re- appointed Mr. Kelly to one (1) additional three (3) year term expiring October 17,
2015. Mr. Kelly resigned from the CEB November 2014.
