AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval for the five libraries to close on Wednesday, August 23,
2017, for a Library Staff Development Day. Attendance for all Library staff would be mandatory.
ITEM BACKGROUND: We have the opportunity to have Linda Bruno, a nationally -known
speaker and Library specialist, for a full day, (at no cost to us, through our membership in SWFLN,
the sponsoring agency) to present workshops pertinent to all Library staff (long -term and recent
hires). This will encourage networking among the branches and give staff the opportunity to interact
in a productive environment. The Library Advisory Board has voiced approval.
