(FKSPCA) for operation of the Marathon Animal a Shelter for 2.1% CPI -U adjustment effective July 1, 2017. The agreement amount will increase to $254,531.52/yr or $21,210.96/mo. ITEM BACKGROUND: On January 27, 2017, the Contractor requested an annual CPI adjustment. The percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for all urban consumers (CPI for the most recent 12 months as of December 31, 2016, is 2.1 %. Effective July 1, 2017, the agreement amount will increase from $249,296.31/yr or $20,774.70/mo to $254,531.52/yr or $21,210.96/mo. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: On April 20, 2011, the BOCC awarded the contract to SHARK. On May 18, 2011, the contract was revised to update contractor's address for notice requirements. On June 15, 2011, the contract was amended to change the effective date of the contract from May 01, 2011, to June 01, 2011. On March 19, 2014 the contract was revised to clarify the payment process to be 1/12 of the annual contract sum, plus any unused balances from prior months where the reimbursement request was less than the monthly reimbursement amount. On April 15, 2015, the BOCC approved a renewal agreement for (5) years, effective July 01, 2015, to June 30, 2020. On October 21, 2015, the BOCC approved a Consent to Assignment of Agreement for the Operation of the Marathon Animal Shelter and to provide animal control services from Mile Marker 16.7 to Mile Marker 70 between Safe Harbor Animal Rescue of the Keys, Inc., (SHARK), as the Assignor and Florida Keys Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Inc., (FKSPCA) as the Assignee. On September 21, 2016, the BOCC approved a CPI -U increase of .7% and revision to update vehicles. CONTRACT /AGREEMENT CHANGES: Effective 07/01/2017, monthly reimbursement increases by 2.1% CPI adjustment (as of Dec. 31, 2016) or an additional $5,235.21 per year. Increases annual contract sum from $249,296.31/year; $20,774.70/mo. to $254,531.52 /year; $21,210.96 /month. (FKSPCA) for operation of the Marathon Animal Shelter for .7% CPI adjustment effective July 1, 2016 and revision to update the vehicles/units listed in the contract. In accordance with Section PV of the Agreement, the annual contract amount is adjusted by .7% forte CPI for all urban consumers (CPI-U) for the most recent 12 months available ending December 201.5.
