Basham, Supervisor of Solid Waste and Recycling.
ITEM BACKGROUND: Earlier this year, Mike Basham rescued a woman from a truck she had
driven into the water at the Blimp Road boat launch. He notified the Monroe County Sheriffs office
of the situation, waded out to the truck and brought the woman safely back to shore, He remained
on site until law enforcement arrived to secure the scene. All of this before reporting for work that
morning.
