AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval of Amendment #002 to Older Americans Act (OAA)
Contract AA -1729 between the Alliance for Aging, Inc., (AAA) and Monroe County Board of
County Commissioners /Monroe County Social Services to increase funding by $1,117.24 for the
2017 contract period (1/1/17- 12/31/17). This amendment changes the total contract funding from
$637,986.44 to $639,103.68.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The OAA program is a Federal Initiative that provides assistance to older
persons and caregivers and is the only Federal supportive services program directed solely towards
improving the lives of older people.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: Amendment #001 BOCC Approved on October 18,
2017.

THIS AMENDMENT is entered into between the Alliance of Aging, Inc. hereinafter referred to as the "Alliance ",
and Monroe County Board of County Commissioners, Social Services /In -Home Services, hereinafter referred to as
the "Contractor ", and collectively referred to as the "Parties."
The purpose of this amendment is to make the following changes to the existing OAA contract for 36, C1, C2, 3E and
3ES funding. To amend the current contract to reflect the 2016 Carry Forward Funding and the New 2017 additional
funding allocations. Some of these funds are recurring and the others are nonrecurring.
