Both facilities were damaged by Hurricane Irma. ITEM BACKGROUND: On November 29, 2017, Monroe County Mayor approved a contract with EE & G following an emergency procurement. In the procurement, the County received three bids. Using Cost reasonableness as justification to award to the lowest bidder EE & G for mold remediation at the Big Pine Key Library and the Big Pine Key Community Park, both of which were damaged by Hurricane Irma. The Emergency Procurement procedure implemented follows the requirements of the FEMA Guidelines for partial reimbursement. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: None.
