AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval of Amendment Two to the Task Order under an
agreement with Adjusters International, Inc for hurricane disaster consulting services to add
estimated cost in an amount of $372,475.00 to cover the period of December 2018 to July 2019 in
order for Consultant to complete and finalize submission of remaining projects and continue
coordination and management with FEMA and FDEM.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The County issued a Request for Proposals for FEMA Public Assistance
Consulting Services on September 29, 2017. The County received 11 proposals at the bid opening
on October 31, 2017. The selection committee meeting was held on November 6, 2017 and
Adjusters International, Inc. was the highest ranked respondent and was recommended award of the
proposal.
The Consultant has been tasked to provide services relating to Hurricane Irma disaster recovery,
including Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) consulting
services. FEMA has conducted the initial required

to July 2019 in order for the Consultant to complete and finalize submission of the remaining
projects and continue coordination and management with FEMA and the Florida Department of
Emergency Management (FDEM).
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: On November 29, 2017 the BOCC approved to
award proposal and enter into an agreement with Adjusters International, Inc. (AI) for FEMA Public
Assistance (PA) Program Consulting Services and approved a Task Order to perform consulting
services for the County relating to hurricane disaster recovery. The agreement was amended
5/16/2018 and the Task Order was amended by Amendment 1 on September 19, 2018.
