Townhouses LLC for Unit #10, 68250 Overseas Highway, Layton, Florida for housing firefighters
assigned to Layton/Long Key Fire Station #18 for $2,950 per month including utilities.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The lease extension agreement between Limetree Bay Townhouses LLC
and the Board of Governors of Fire and Ambulance District 1 of Monroe County, Florida was
approved by the Board of Governors at the November 20, 2018 meeting, agenda item K.2. At the
time of the meeting, MCFR had received a draft of the agreement from Limetree Bay Townhouses
LLC. The final signed version of the agreement was received after the BOG meeting and contained
provision (paragraph 6). All other terms and conditions remained unchanged from the draft
document submitted for BOG approval. The previous 3-year lease agreement was with Zane Grey
Development and was due to expire on 12-28-18, however Zane Grey Development sold the
property to Limetree Bay Townhouses LLC on October 24, 2018. MCFR requested the new owners
to extend the lease on behalf of our firefighters assigned to Station 18 in Layton/Long Key. Copies
of the final executed lease extension agreement, and the original Zane Grey Development lease are
attached as reference.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOG ACTION: On November 20, 2018, the BOG approved item K.2,
Lease Extension Agreement with Limetree Bay Townhouses LLC for $2,950.00 per month.
