AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval of expenditure of911 funds for the consolidation of the
Monroe County Sheriffs Office Dispatch centers.
ITEM BACKGROUND: In late 1999, the Monroe County Sheriffs Office decided to centralize their
911 dispatch centers into the Marathon area. The Sheriffs Office has planned to merge their Stock
Island Facility and Marathon facility in the third quarter of this year. This will necessitate the
relocation of all county 911 equipment to include modification and reconfiguration.
PREVIOUS REVELANT BOCC ACTION: None.
CONTRACT/AGREEMENT CHANGES: Not a contract, based on estimated hourly rate.
