Violet has been a Lead Operator for Monroe County for over 25 years. Violet began her
career with Monroe County in 1976 when the switchboard was under the Clerk of the
Court's office. Four years later, in 1980, the switchboard was moved under the BOCC
and into the Technical Services department formally know as the Information Systems
department where it remains today.
Many times Violet is the first contact for the public when calling Monroe County. She
always acts in a professional and courteous manner when answering the phone and goes
out of her way to help people who are not sure of who they need to talk to, or even which
department they need. Since the move to the Gato building Violet has taken on the
additional duties of keeping the mailroom organized and always does her best without
complaining.
We would like to congratulate and thank Ms. Montero for her 25 years of meritorious
service to the County and hope to have her as a member of the Monroe County team for
many more years to come.
