RE: Agenda Item - Request for Expenditures from Law Enforcement
Trust Fund
Dear Mr. Roberts:
I would like to request that the Commission authorize the following expenditures
from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund:
$10,000
This sum will support the Monroe Youth Challenge Program, a joint
initiative with the Monroe County School District to provide educational
and motivational programs designed to prevent substance abuse, sexual
abuse, and improve the life skills of middle school students.
$5,000
This will replenish TRAP (targeted Rapid Response Program) funds
used to allow local police commanders to direct a large amount of
resources (eg. surveillance expenses patrol overtime) to law enforcement
problems requiring a speedy strong response.
TOTAL: $15,000.00
I hereby certify that these expenditures are lawful pursuant to the Florida Contraband
Act. There will be no recurring expenses in the existing budget.
