Ms. Michal began her tenure with the Monroe County Veterans Affairs Department on April 13, 1987 as a Veterans Affairs Service Aide working four hours a day. Due to her work load tripling within one year her position was upgraded to her current title of Veterans Services Counselor. Her hours were raised to six hours a day, and currently is working fuLL time. Ms. Michal has been trained at the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs in St. Petersburg and has served to be a tremendous asset to our department. She deals with the Veterans of our upper keys community in a professional manner which far exceeds the job requirements for her position. Ms. Angela Michal possess and continually exercises concern, compassion and renders that degree of professional expertise which is critical in her position. Her dedication and reputation within the upper keys veteran community is a definite attribute to Monroe County government. Kudos to Angela for fifteen years of dedication to the Veterans Affairs Department and Monroe County.
