Lin International (TY Lin) for Professional Design and Permitting Services for the Stock Island Detention Center Main Electrical Upgrades Project This Amendment removes the 104-day time constraint because the work extended beyond the original end date. There are no additional tasks or costs added. ITEM BACKGROUND: The electrical system at the Monroe County Detention Center is nearly 30 years old. Due to multiple electrical outages, an emergency study was performed by Schneider Electric to evaluate the conditions of the building. A report was completed in January 2019 and provided to the County which outlined corrective actions needed in order to ensure the safety of inmates, employees and visitors. Due to unforeseen issues including the Covid-19 pandemic and the emergency electrical fire at the jail, Monroe County and TY Lin were not able to meet the expected milestones outlined in the Task Order. This Amendment to the Task Order will remove the 104-day time constraint.
