AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to advertise a competitive solicitation for the Aircraft
Overflow Apron construction project at the Key West International Airport. The project is being
funded by an anticipated FAA CARES Development Grant, FDOT Grant G1007 and Airport
Operating Fund 404.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The project was identified in the Airport Master Plan completed in 2019
due to increased aircraft activity and the need for additional aircraft apron parking.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: Approval of Jacobs PSO 12/15-84 for Aircraft
Overflow Parking Design Phase 1 on October 20, 2020, and approval of Jacobs PSO 12/15-91 for
Aircraft Overflow Parking Design Phase 2 on January 20, 2021.
