AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to issue a bid solicitation for the Rehabilitation of the 11
Storage Hangars located at the Florida Keys Marathon International Airport that were damaged
during Hurricane Irma.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The 11 Storage hangars sustained damaged during Hurricane Irma, and
FDOT recently approved staff s request to add rehabilitation of the 11 hangars to the scope of work
covered under FDOT Grant G1237. Grant G1237 will provide 80%reimbursement of the cost of the
rehab. project.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: Amendment 1 to FDOT grant G1237 adding the
rehab of the 11 storage hangars to the scope of work covered under the grant is also on the June 16th
agenda.
