FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
AWARD TO
CHEECA LODGE
The Florida Keys Council for People with Disabilities is pleased to present its award
for outstanding service to people with disabilities to Cheeca Lodge.
Cheeca Lodge has been undergoing major renovations over the past year and a
half. These renovations have included greater access of the property to the disabled.
The restroom facilities in the main lodge have been expanded, a lift is available for
the pool, clear and wider walk ways allow for wheelchair access to the lush
grounds, major improvements to the rooms and an automatic door in the main
lodge are a few of the improvements made recently. These improvements ensure
that all ofthe guests enjoy their stay and time at the lodge equally.
Cheeca Lodge also employs the disabled and encourages them as well as all of
their employees to excel in their positions and gives the employees the tools and
environment that is needed to accomplish their goals, while promoting everyone
equally.
On behalf of the disabled citizens of the Florida Keys this plaque is presented
with sincere gratitude to Cheeca Lodge.
