ITEM BACKGROUND: The fleet consists of 38 foot long coaches with all passenger amenities such
as leather recliner seats, on-board food service, attendants, video monitors, wireless internet and DVD
monitors, power ports, satellite radio, Direct TV., Playstation. At this time, they provide transportation
from Daytona, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Pensacola and Tampa airports.

COMMISSIONERS OF MON"ROE COUNTY, FLORIDA.,
RECOGNIZING TRANSFLO:R.lJ)IA.NAS ~ LUXURY MEANS
OF TRAVEL INTO THE FLORIDA KEYS.
WHEREAS, Ambiance Sun, LLC has initiated a luxury motorcoach means of travel into
the Florida Keys and is in the process of changingthe name to TransFloridian; and
WHEREAS, the transportation service provides travelers with the comfort of first-class
seating. meals, and other luxury amenities to enhance their travel, experience; and
WHEREAS, the logistics of travel into the "Keys isdifficuIt attimes of high tourlst
" ,
impact due to the limitations posed by the capacity for traffic at Key west International Airport
and capacity of one primary road, as wen asa shortage of otherrnearis of transportation; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for Monroe County has long deemed
it important for there to be alternatives to travel into and between the Keys via cars; and
WHEREAS, the County Commission has considered the likelihood that travel via
Ambience win reduce the numbers of cars on the Overseas Hig:hway~ US 1, and otherwise
enhance the ability of residents and tourists to travel into and between the Keys;
NOW; TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMI\fiSSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA; that:
1. TransFloridian is recognized as a valuable and desirable means of travel into the
Florida Keys.
2. This Resolution shall become effective upon the date of its. adoption herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of C{)Unty Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida at a regular meeting of said board held on ~ 2005.
