AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval for the Student Peace Alliance to place a coral
rock foundation and bronze plaque at the park located at the
Nelson Government Center. The plaque will read "Community
Peace Park — We Are All the Keys to Peace."
ITEM BACKGROUND: See attached request from the Student Peace Alliance.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: Earlier this year, the Student Peace Alliance
placed a similar plaque at the Key Largo Community Park.

Mayor Murphy,
The Student Peace Alliance would like to be on the agenda of the Board of County
Commissioner's meeting on November 17 at the Murray Nelson Center. Would you
help us?
We are hoping that the Board will approve placement of a coral rock foundation and
a bronze plaque in the park behind the Murray Nelson Building, The plaque will read
"Community Peace Park -- We Are All the Keys to Peace"
Of course, we would coordinate the placement of the plaque with both Parks and
Recreation and with Public Works.
If we are able to get on the agenda, and if at all possible, could we have a time
certain after 3PM? More of our members and officers would be able to attend if
we can meet with the Board after school.
