Hi Ammie,
The change to the project would be shifting the 2,000 Staghorn corals to be planted at
Alligator Reef to a new site Captain Aronos GPS coordinates: N 24.8786, W -80.5702. This
is a site that is visited frequently by local dive shops. The reason for the shift is high staghorn
coral predation from fireworms at Alligator Reef. The total corals planted for the grant will
remain the same at 3700.

AMENDMENT (1AMENDMENT) TO AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT to Agreement dated this day of 2022, is entered into by and
between the Board of County Commissioners for Monroe County, on behalf of the Tourist
Development Council, and Mote Marine Laboratory, Inc., a not for profit organized and operating
under the laws of the state of Florida (Grantee).
WHEREAS, there was an Agreement entered into on October 20, 2021 between the parties,
awarding $100,011 to Grantee for the Mote –Coral Restoration –Islamorada 2022
(“Agreement”); and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to revise Exhibit A of the Agreement, outlining scope of
service for the project to revise the out-planting location of the corals, and
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein the parties
agree to the amend Agreement as follows:
1. Exhibit A of the Agreement shall be revised and attached hereto.
2. The remaining provisions of the agreement dated October 20, 2021 shall remain in full
force and effect.
