A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA TO AUTHORIZE THE
USE OF TOURIST DEVELOPMENT TAX
REVENUES TO FUND THE MONROE
COUNTY 200TH ANNIVERSARY
CELEBRATION EVENT ON MARCH 25, 2023
AT THE COFFEE BUTLER
AMPHITHEATER.
WHEREAS, Monroe County will be celebrating its 200'h Anniversary in 2023 and will
be putting on a 200`h Anniversary Celebration in Key West on March 25, 2023, at the Coffee
Butler Amphitheater; and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)hereby finds
that the Event has one of its main purposes the attraction of tourist in accordance with F.S.
125.0104(5) and therefore authorizes that tourist development tax revenues be allocated for the
promotion of the Monroe County 200`h Anniversary Celebration(Event).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. The BOCC hereby authorizes the allocation of tourist development tax revenues in the
amount of$150,000 for the Monroe County 200'Anniversary Celebration Event to take
place on March 25, 2023, at the Coffee Butler Amphitheater in Key West.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida,
at a meeting of said Board held on the 19' day of October 2022.
