AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to terminate Lease Agreement with Sanctuary Friends of
the Florida Keys, Inc., concerning lease of office space in the Florida Keys Marathon Airport Terminal
ITEM BACKGROUND: At their meeting on December 15, 2004, the Board approved a Lease
Agreement between Monroe County and Sanctuary Friends ofthe Florida Keys, Inc. to lease space at
the Florida Keys Marathon Airport on a month-to-month basis, effective January 1, 2005. The
organization recently relocated their office to another site and no longer occupies office space at the
terminal.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: On December 15,2004, the Board approved a Lease
Agreement between Monroe County and Sanctuary Friends of the Florida Keys, Inc. to lease space at
the Florida Keys Marathon Airport on a month-to-month basis, effective January 1, 2005. On February
15,2006, the Board granted approval to abate the office rent for Sanctuary Friends of the Florida Keys,
at the Florida Keys Marathon Airport, for the period of October 24,2005 to January 23,2006.
