MIKE NALEPA - EMPLOYEE SERVICE AWARD, SEPTEMBER 2008
Mike Nalepa works for the Facilities Development Department of the Engineering
Division as a Construction Inspector Supervisor. Recently, Mike has worked on many of
the County’s Capital Improvement Projects, such as the Freeman Justice Center, the Big
Pine Key Community Park, and the Big Pine Key Fire Station.
Often Mike can be found working in the pre-dawn hours making sure that the contractors
comply with details as specified on the plans and that the projects run smoothly. Mike’s
extensive knowledge has enabled him to make suggestions that have helped improve
procedures, which ultimately help protect the county’s interests.
Mike is well-known for his “can-do” attitude and his dedication, providing service above
and beyond the needs of the project. He is always available to answer questions and offer
assistance, no matter what is asked of him.
