ITEM BACKGROUND: The area is a blind spot for both east and west bound traffic. This area has
had several accidents resulting in deaths over the past few years. The residents are requesting the
installation of a streetlight at this location for the security and safety to the public.

Dear Mr. Koppell:
We the neighbors of Raffy Road, MM 21 %, Cudjoe Key are requesting that streetlights
be installed at the intersection of US 1 and Raffy Road and at the south end of Raffy
Road. The area has had several accidents and people have been killed in those
incidents. (See the location map).
The entrance to U5 1 is a blind spot for both east and west bound traffic. Raffy Road is
a dead end county road with no community lighting for security or emergency service.
We have had several events of crimes reported to the Sheriff's Department during the
past few years. We are now requesting your assistance with Keys Energy Service to
provide community lighting. Please contact Catherine Nix at KES, 305-295-1000, they
will provide the lighting at your request for security and safety to the public.
