ITEM BACKGROUND: Christmas Eve was made a holiday for County staff for this fiscal year, enabling most office staff to enjoy a four -day holiday weekend. Since the Libraries are customarily open on Saturday, Library staff would only have a two-day holiday, then reopen for one day before closing again for two days. This approval would enable Library staff to enjoy a four -day holiday weekend, along with other office staff. Staff schedules would be adjusted to ensure a full work week.
