AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to modifY the fee structure for the use of Government
meeting rooms, and Channel 76 televising costs.
ITEM BACKGROUND: Meeting room rates have been modified annually for each coming fiscal
year. This year there is a .1 % CPI - U increase in costs.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: The BOCC approved to modify the fee structure for the
use of Government meeting rooms on July 26, 2000, September 19, 2001, and October 15, 2003. On
May 19, 2004, the BOCC approved a revision for the Use of County Property and the use of
Government meeting rooms to consolidate the policy to include the Airports, Libraries, meeting rooms,
County facilities, and parks and beaches. On October 19, 2005, September 20, 2006, September 19,
2007 and September 17,2008, the BOCC approved a modification to the fee structure.
CONTRACT/AGREEMENT CHANGES: Increase facilities costs from $9.19 to $9.20; equipment
costs from $135.33 to $135.46; regular rate for maintenance technician from $34.96 to $34.99 and
overtime rate from $52.43 to $52.48; and regular rate for the TV Technician from $22.55 to $22.57 and
overtime rate from $33.82 to $33.85.
