AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval of the reappointment of Mr. Lou Hernandez to the
Tourist Development Council representing the position of elected municipal official.
ITEM BACKGROUND: This position is that of an elected representative of the municipalities
located within the County. Nominations for this appointment are made by the Board of County
Commissioners. (Resolution No. 300-2007 Sec. 2). At this time, no other nominations have been
submitted.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: Mr. Hernandez was previously appointed to the
TDC on 12/19/07 to replace Mr. Robert Padron and fulfill his remaining term which expired
8/16/09.

I was out last week and am catching up on emails from then. For this particular appointment each commissioner
that would like to nominate an elected official may do so. l will compile the nominations for the agenda item (to be
placed on the August agenda) and the BOCC will vote at the meeting to either re -appoint Mr. Hernandez or
appoint from one of the new nominees.
