AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to apply for a Older Americans Act Grant up to the
maximum amount available (minimum $519,561.00) and approval for the County Administrator or his
Alternate to sign all application documents relating to grant submission.
ITEM BACKGROUND: Every three years the Alliance for Aging, the Area Agency on Aging for
Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties requires lead agencies to submit a response to their Request for
Proposal. The purpose of the RFP is to solicit application from qualified service agencies interested in
being designated by the Alliance as an OAA provider.
