Approval and ratification of collective bargaining agreement with Teamsters Local 769 to begin
October 1, 2010 and end September 30,2013.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The current collective bargaining agreement with Teamsters ends on
September 30,2009. The negotiating team is currently in the process of bargaining with the union and
has reached tentative agreement with the union on >80% of the clauses in the agreement. This item is
being placed on the agenda on the assumption that the parties will reach agreement on the remainder of

terms prior to the BOCC meeting.
