AGENDA ITEM WORDING:
Approval of an extension to the deadline for an additional 90 days (March 30, 2004) to apply for CDBG grants
for Low and Very-Low income property owners and renters on Stock Island wishing assistance to pay for
wastewater connection fees.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
With the delay in final connections to Stock Island's KW Resort Utility, few individuals have applied for
CnBG funding to assist in paying cOJUlcctions fees to the wastewater facility. Staff suggests that an additional
90 day extension to make application for these grant funds be provided. However, staff also suggests that a
message to the public provide an indication that the Stock Island wastewater project is moving forward and that
the deadline on March 30, 2004 will be final
