RESOLUTION NO. 129 -1989
A RESOLUTION NAMING A STREET TO BE KNOWN AS
PELICAN LANE IN CAHILL PINES AND PALMS
SUBDIVISION ON BIG PINE KEY.

LL fOWHE1tE~, there is a road traversing Block 7 of Cahill Pines
and Palms Subdivision on Big Pine Key, in Monroe County, Florida,
which road has not been formally named by the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, Section 336.05, Florida Statutes, authorizes the
Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County to name and rename
streets and roads, except state roads designated by number by the
State Department of Transportation, lying outside the boundaries
of any incorporated municipality; and
WHEREAS, the owners of record of a majority of the platted
lots bordering said road have formally requested that the Board
of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, name and
designate said road to be known as "Pelican Lane"; and
WHEREAS, said road is not a state road and is not within the
boundaries of any incorporated municipality, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the street which traverses Block 7
of Cahill Pines and Palms Subdivision, located in Sections 26 and
27, Township 66 South, Range 29 East, on Big Pine Key, in Monroe
County, Florida, as shown on the plat recorded at plat book 3,
page 94, of the official reocrds of Monroe County, Florida, is
hereby named and designated to be known as "Pelican Lane."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of the
Board be, and he is hereby instructed to forward certified copies
of this resolution to the Monroe County Property Appraiser, the
Monroe County Sheriff, the Director of Planning for Monroe
County, the Director of Public Works for Monroe County, the
United States Postmaster for the area including Big Pine Key, and
the chiefs of the fire and rescue departments serving Big Pine
Key.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
