RESOLUTION NO. 208 -1989
A RESOLUTION URGING THE LEGISLATURE OF THE
STATE OF FLORIDA TO ADOPT HOUSE BILL 354.
WHEREAS, House Bill 354 would consolidate gas taxes into two
new sections, and
WHEREAS, House Bill 354 does away with the referendum
requirement for transition from 6~ to 7~ gas tax, and
WHEREAS, said House Bill would shift the collection of the
gas tax from the retailer to the distributor, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That the Board of County Commissioners for Monroe
County, Florida, hereby urges the Legislature of the State of
Florida to support House Bill 354.
2. That the Clerk of said Board is hereby directed to
forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Honorable Ron
Saunders and the Honorable Larry Plummer.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the ~ day of April, A.D. 1989.
