RESOLUTION NO. 304 -1989
WHEREAS, Monroe County is a defendant in that certain case
wherein the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation is foreclosing
certain properties generally located in Port Bougainville, said
case being Civil Case No. 88-20339-CA-09, in the Sixteenth
Judicial Circuit in and for Monroe County, and
WHEREAS, the property interests of Monroe County in said
action will shortly be foreclosed by the suit, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement
Fund of the State of Florida will acquire the property after the
said properties have been foreclosed, and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida has indicated to Monroe County
that it is sympathetic to the continued maintenance of the fire
station located on these properties for the public good, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Monroe County does hereby request
the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund to issue
to Monroe County a lease for a period of fifty (50) years on that
certain property upon which the Key Largo Volunteer Fire and
Rescue Department has located its facility, for the purposes of
continuing such fire station by the Key Largo Volunteer Fire and
Rescue Corps, Inc. and such other public purposes.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the ~ day of May, A. D. 1989.
