RESOLUTION NO. 687 '-1989
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE LOWER
AND MIDDLE KEYS FIRE AND AMBULANCE DISTRICT OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN TO EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE ISLAMORADA FIRE &
RESCUE CORPS, INC. AND THE LOWER AND MIDDLE KEYS FIRE
AND AMBULANCE DISTRICT CONCERNING THE DISTRICT'S USE
OF TWO (2) EMERGENCY VEHICLES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE LOWER AND MIDDLE KEYS
FIRE AND AMBULANCE DISTRICT OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman
is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement by and between the Islamorada
Fire & Rescue Corps, Inc. and the Lower and Middle Key Fire and Ambulance
District, a copy of same being attached hereto, concerning the District's
use of two (2) emergency vehicles.

A G R E E MEN T
AGREEMENT made as of the 21 day of Noverrber
1989, between the Islamorada Fire and Rescue Corps,
"Corps") and the Lower and Middle Keys Fire and
District (the "District").
WHEREAS, the District has a need for emergency vehicles, and
WHEREAS, THE Corps has agreed to lease the following
vehicles to the District:
1. 1978 Pierce Quick Attack Rescue Pumper; SNW41CF7S031378.
2. 1984 Ford E-350; IFDKE30G6EHB01461.
Therefore, in consideration of the mutual covenants,
premises and representation herein, the parties hereto agree as
follows:

Ambulance
1. The District shall lease the two (2) aforementioned
vehicles from the Corps for $1.00 (One Dollar and no cents) per
year. Payment shall be made as of October I, 1989.
2. The vehicles shall be stationed in Islamorada and used
within the area served by the District to provide fire and
rescue services.
3. The District shall pay for all costs, charges and
expenditures necessary or incidental to the operation and
maintenance of the leased vehicles during the term of the lease.
4. The District shall provide the same type and limits of
insurance coverage on the vehicles as is currently provided on
all other vehicles owned by the District.
5. The funding for repairs shall be in accordance with
Section 2-250 (a) of the Monroe County Code, which provides for
levying of ad valorem taxes to pay for the necessary operational
and maintenance expenses incurred as a result of providing
fire/rescue services within the district.
6. This lease agreement shall be for two (2) years
beginning of October 1, 1989 and ending on September 30, 1991.
7. Either party may cancel this agreement; however, ninety
(90) days notice shall be given prior to cancellation.
