A RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE
EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE BOARD
AND DAVID P. KIRWAN, P.A., ATTORNEY AT
LAW, PERTAINING TO MR. KIRWAN'S
EMPLOYMENT AS ATTORNEY FOR THE MONROE
COUNTY CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor/Chairman of the Board
is hereby authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between
the Board and David P. Kirwan, P.A., attorney at law, a copy of
same being attached hereto and made a part hereof, pertaining
to Mr. Kirwan's employment as attorney for the Monroe County
Code Enforcement Board.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held

MONROE COUNTY
EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
Agreement entered into this day of
1989, by and between the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, party of the first part, and DAVID P. KIRWAN,
P.A., attorney at law, party of the second part, whose mailing
address is P.O. Box 67, Marathon, Florida, 33050.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the party of the first part desires to employ the
party of the second part as the attorney for the Monroe County
Code Enforcement Board commencing December 20, 1989, and to
continue for a period of one (1) year, and
WHEREAS, the agreed compensation for said attorney for the
Monroe County Code Enforcement Board shall be $2,000.00 per
month; now, therefore,
IT IS HEREBY agreed by the parties as follows:
1. The party of the second part will render legal assis-
tance to the Monroe County Code Enforcement Board, commencing
December 20, 1989, and concluding December 19, 1990.
2. The party of the first part shall pay to the party of
the second part the total compensation of $24,000.00 for his
services in accordance with paragraph 1 above. Said sum shall
be paid in equal installments of $2,000.00 per month.
3. The work and services to be rendered by the party of the
second part shall be the rendition of legal services and advice
of the Monroe County Code Enforcement Board and shall be at
the direction of the Monroe County Code Enforcement Board.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this
agreement to be executed as of the day and year written above.
