RESOLUTION NO. 027 -1986
A RESOLUTION PERMITTING BU-l AND BU-2 USES IN
BU-3 ZONED AREAS.
WHEREAS, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, is authorized to establish zoning regulations for the
unincorporated areas of Monroe County, Florida, pursuant to
Section l25.0l(h) of the Florida Statutes.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County
hereby recognizes the need to alleviate the hardship incurred by
not allowing BU-l and BU-2 uses in BU-3 zoned areas, now, there-
fore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, that the following BU-l and BU-2 uses shall be
permitted in BU-3 zoned districts:
(a) Principal uses permitted:
Professional services, business services, banks, post
offices, ticket offices, answering services, family
counseling, personal services, drug and sundry stores,
tobacco and news stands, florists, gift shops, con-
fectionery
stores,
antique
shops,
art
goods,
bric-a-brac shops, ice cream parlors, curio shops,
interior decorations, furriers, bookstores, restau-
rants, A and B, clothing stores, jewelry stores,
leather goods, photographic galleries, pottery sales
(no manufacturing), shoe stores, sporting goods, tailor
shops, fire and burglar alarms, centers of commercial
activities, area retail sales, sell of fuels, me-
chanical services, wholesaling, warehousing and storage
(b) Accessory Uses permitted:
Apartments with a principal business, living quarters
for watchmen and caretakers only, parks and recrea-
tional facilities, utility buildings and facilities,
customary accessory uses for principal permitted uses.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 24th day of
