RESOLUTION NO. 043-1986
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BY
AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF KEY WEST, FLORIDA AND
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR AMBULANCE
SERVICE FOR MSTD I-A.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that said Board hereby approves and
authorizes the Mayor and Chairman of the Board to execute an
Agreement by and between the City of Key West, Florida and the
Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, a copy
of the same being attached hereto, providing for ambulance
service for MSTD I-A.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 7th day of February, 1986.

AGREEMENT
AGREEMENT made this day of , 1986, by and
between the City of Key West, Florida, herein referred to as
"City" and the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, herein referred to as "County".
WHEREAS, the City currently provides ambulance service to
City residents through a contractor; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to provide full-time ambulance
service to the residents of Municipal Service Tax District I-A
("MSTD I-A"), including Advanced Life Support; and
WHEREAS, City and County desire to cooperate to increase the
level of ambulance service to the residents of Key West and
adjacent areas in MSTD I-A; now, therefore,
In consideration of the premises and of the mutual covenants
contained, the parties agree as follows:
1. That City shall pay its full-time ambulance contractor
and shall cause said contractor to provide emergency and non-
emergency ambulance service to the residents of MSTD I-A, as is
provided to residents of Key West, including Advanced Life
Support.
2. That County shall pay to City the sum of $24,000.00 for
Fiscal year 1985-86, for the said ambulance service to include
Advanced Life Support. The salary of the Medical Director,
including errors and omissions insurance for the Director of
Advanced Life Support, shall be included in the said sum to be
paid by County.
3. City shall account to County for the application of
these funds to the provision of ambulance service to the resi-
dents of MSTD I-A.
The term of this contract shall be twelve (12) months and
the parties shall cooperate in good faith to carry out its
intent.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this agreement
the day and year first above written.
