RESOLUTION NO. 471-1987
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE MA YOR/ CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND
THE MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER
CONCERNING FUNDING FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987-88.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor/Chairman of the Board is
hereby authorized to execute an Agreement by and between the
Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, and the
Monroe Alcoholism Rehabilitation Center, a copy of same being
attached hereto, concerning funding for fi~cal year 1987-88.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a special meeting of said Board held
on the 15th day of December, A.D. 1987.

AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, and the MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER desire
to enter into an agreement wherein the Board of County Commis-
sioners contracts for services from said Center in rendering an
alcoholism rehabilitation program to the citizens of Monroe
County, Florida, and
~~REAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, is vested and charged with certain duties and respon-
sibilities relating to alcoholism rehabilitation of the citizens
of Monroe County, and
WHEREAS, such services have been invaluable to the citizens
of Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, it is proper and fitting to enter into an agreement
for services to be rendered in the forthcoming year 1987-88; now,
therefore,
THIS AGREEMENT, made between the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSION-
ERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, and the MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHA-
BILITATION CENTER, each in consideration of the premises, agree
as follows:
The said BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, in consideration of said MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILITA-
TLON CENTER substantially and satisfactorily performing and
carrying out part of the duties and obligations of the Board as
to alcoholism rehabilitation for the citizens of Monroe County,
Florida, agrees to pay to the said MONROE COUNTY ALCOHOLISM
REHABILITATION CENTER the sum of Seventy Five Thousand Dollars
($75,000.00). This figure will be paid monthly commencing
October 1, 1987, and terminating September 30, 1988, as
hereinafter set forth.
And the said MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER, for
the consideration named, covenants and agrees with the BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, to substantially
and satisfactorily perform and carry out part of the duties of
the said Board in rendering an alcoholism rehabilitation program
to the citizens of Monroe County, Florida.
In further consideration of said financial remuneration, the
said MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER agrees to provide a
clear financial audit trail to allow for full accountability of
funds received from said Board. Certified monthly financial and
service load reports will be made available to the BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COutITY, FLORIDA, to validate the
delivery of services under this contract. The monthly financial
report is due in the Office of the Clerk of the BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE comITY, FLORIDA, no later than the 15th
day of the following month. After the Clerk of the Board pre-
audits the certified report, the Board will reimburse said MONROE
ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER for its monthly expenses.
However, the total of said monthly payments in the aggregate sum
shall not exceed the total amount of $75,000.00 during the term
of this contract.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, has caused these presents to be signed in
its name by its Chairman, Board of County Commissioners, and the
Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners and the MONROE ALCO-
HOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER has caused these presents to be
signed in its name by its Director and President of the Board,
all as of the
