RESOLUTION NO. 051-1988
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, REQUESTING
THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS TO CONDUCT A
REFERENDUM ELECTION ON MARCH 8, 1988,
CONCERNING THE MIDDLE KEYS HEALTH CARE TAXING
DISTRICT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Honorable Peter Ilchuk, Supervisor of
Elections be, and he is hereby requested at the primary election
of March 8, 1988, to place on the ballot the question described
in Section 2 of this Resolution within the following areas,
to-wit:
That part of Election precinct 16 from the north end of
the 7 Mile Bridge, Marathon, and election precincts 17,
18 and 19.
Section 2. The referendum proposal to be voted upon by the
electors of said area shall be in substantially the following
form:
MIDDLE KEYS HEALTH CARE TAXING DISTRICT
Should a Health Care District, composed of
Municipal Service Districts 2 and 3, be
created for a period not to exceed five years
for the purpose of affording emergency
critical health care and facilities enhance-
ment for the residents and visitors of said
districts to be funded by the imposition of
one-half of one mill (.00050) per year per
$1,000.00 of assessed taxable value of real
property in said districts?

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a special meeting of said Board held
on the 19th day of January, A.D., 1988.
