RESOLUTION NO. 274 -1988
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM
THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND
DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF SAME BY THE PROPER
COUNTY AUTHORITIES.
WHEREAS, on June 14, 1988, the Governor and Cabinet of the
State of Florida approved a grant in the amount of Thirty-Two
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($32,500), as recommended by the
Florida Department of Natural Resources, for pass-through federal
funds from the Land and Water Conservation Fund; said grant to
pay one-half the cost of acquiring approximately five (5) acres
of land on Big Pine Key, and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of said grant and the acquisition of
said property will enhance the outdoor recreation opportunities
for the residents of Monroe County, Florida, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the said grant, as recommended by
the Florida Department of Natural Resources, for pass-through
federal funds from the Land and Water Conservation Fund, is
hereby accepted and that the County Administrator is hereby
directed to execute the necessary documents in furtherance
thereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 5th day of July, A.D. 1988.
