RESOLUTION NO.114-1987
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MONROE COUNTY
LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION TO INTRODUCE FOR
PASSAGE A BILL TO PERMIT AN ADDITIONAL NINTH
CENT GAS TAX AS A COUNTY OPTION TO BE
EFFECTIVE UPON PASSAGE BY A SUPER MAJORITY
VOTE OF THE COUNTY COMMISSION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNTY COMMISSION OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. The Monroe County Legislative Delegation is hereby
requested to enact legislation to permit an additional ninth cent
gas tax for Monroe County, Florida.
2. That said gas tax be optional and only affixed by the
passage by a super majority vote of the County Commission.
3. That the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, be, and he is hereby directed to forward
a certified copy of this Resolution to Senator Larry Plummer and
Representative Ron Saunders.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 17th day of February, A.D. 1987.
