A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MONROE LEGISLA-
TIVE DELEGATION TO INTRODUCE FOR PASSAGE
LEGISLATION PERMITTING AN ADDITIONAL SALES
TAX OF 1<;: TO FUND CRIMINAL JUSTICE FACIL-
ITIES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNTY COMMISSION OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1.
The Monroe County legislative delegation be
requested to enact legislation to permit an additional 1<;: sales
tax for the purpose of funding Criminal Justice facilities.
Section 2. Said legislation be subject to the approval of
the electors of Monroe County.
Section 3. The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to
provide notice of the adoption of this Resolution to Senator
Larry Plummer and Representative Ron Saunders.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 17th day of February, A.D., 1987.
