RESOLUTION NO. 124 -1987
RESOLUTION RETAINING A. G. EDWARDS & SONS,
INC. AS THE INSURANCE TEAM TO DRAW UP A PLAN
FOR POOLED INSURANCE FOR MONROE COUNTY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., be
directed to prepare and develop a Pooled Insurance Program for
Monroe County and tender the same back to the County Commission
in due course, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that such efforts on
the part of A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., are to be without cost or
expense to Monroe County. It is hereby understood, as proposed
by the aforesaid A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., that all expenses
and cost in preparing and developing such plan shall be borne by
the aforesaid A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., and that Monroe County
is hereby completely exonerated from any expense and/or liability
whatsoever in the development of such Pooled Plan.
BE IT ALSO FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that unless and
until such proposed Pooled Insurance Program, as developed by A.
G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., is accepted and approved by Monroe
County that only at that time will an agreement be entered into
setting forth the respective duties and obligations of the
parties mentioned herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 3rd day of March, A. D. 1987.
