RESOLUTION NO.
357 -1986
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
ON BEHALF OF MONROE COUNTY MODIFICATIONS TO A
CONTRACT WITH JAMES HATCHETT
WHEREAS, modification of the provisions of the contract
shall be valid when they are written, duly signed by the parties
hereto, and attached to the original of this contract; and
WHEREAS, Monroe County is hereby subcontracting a portion
of the work required under its contract agreed to with the
Department of Community Affairs; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the contract with the
Department of Community Affairs it is agreed that subcontractors
shall abide by certain terms and conditions of the contract; and
WHEREAS, an original contract was property adopted and
executed on November 18, 1986, and Monroe County now desires to
make two additions required by the State of Florida; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
The Mayor of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby authorized
to sign and execute on behalf of Monroe County, contract
modification with Mr. James Hatchett.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board

Program Contract Modification

Hatchett, hereinafter referred to as the "Recipient".
WHEREAS, modification of the provisions of the contract
shall be valid when they are written, duly signed by the parties
hereto, and attached to the original of this contract; and
WHEREAS, Monroe County is hereby subcontracting aport ion
of the w~rk required under its contract agreed to with the
Department of Community Affairs; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the coJtract with the Department
of Community Affairs it is agreed that subcontractors shall
abide by certain terms and conditions of the contract; now
THEREFORE, Monroe County and the Recipient do mutually agree
as follows:
I. The Recipient is bound by the terms and conditions of the
contract established between Monroe County and the Department
of Community Affairs and which is funding this subcontract with

the Recipient.
II. The Recipient agrees to hold the Department of Community
Affairs and Monroe County harmless agains~ all claims of whatever
nature by the Recipient arising out of the performance of work
under this Contract.
