Resolution 366-1986 Commissioner Gene Lytton RESOLUTION NO. 366-1986 A RESOLUTION CREATING AN AD HOC COMMITTEE OF THE BUILDING INDUSTRY TO REVIEW AND REPORT WITH RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE MONROE COUNTY COMMISSION THEIR OBSERVATIONS OF THE PERMIT- TING PROCESS OF MONROE COUNTY; DESIGNATING AND CONSTITUTING THE COMMITTEE AND SETTING FORTH ITS DUTIES AND PREROGATIVES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: 1. That an Ad Hoc Committee representing the Building Industry is hereby created for the purpose of evaluating, observ- ing, and reporting to the Monroe County Commission their findings and recommendations of the permitting process in Monroe County. 2. That this Ad Hoc Committee shall be divided into three areas representing respectively; (1) the Upper Keys Plantation Government Center and the area serviced thereby; (2) the Middle Keys' office in Marathon and the area serviced thereby; and (3) the Key West office and the area serviced thereby. This Commit- tee shall consist of three members for each area, said composi- tion to be as follows: (1) five (5) members from the Plantation and Upper Keys area, said members to be of the building trades and from the area from whence they are selected; (2) five (5) members from the Middle Keys or Marathon area, said members to be of the building trades and from the area from whence they are selected; (3) five (5) members from the Key West, said members to be of the building trades and from the area from whence they are selected. 3. The President of the Monroe County Builders Association and Executive Director of the Monroe County Builders Association shall be ex officio members of all three (3) Committees and shall be entrusted with supervising and facilitating the business and deliberation of each Committee. When recommendations are in order subsequent to the study herein provided, such recommenda- tions shall be approved by the ex officio members herein des- ignated. 4. The membership of the various Committees shall be made by the Monroe County Commission upon recommendation made by the Monroe County Contractors Association. 5. That at the completion of the studies made by this Committee in the three areas of Monroe County, they shall prepare a report along with their recommendations concerning the permit- ting process in Monroe County and shall report forthwith to the County Commission in relation thereto, at which time these Committees shall be disbanded.
