A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE MONROE COUNTY ZONING
BOARD TO ONLY HEAR CASES AT THE MEETING PLACE IN
WHICH THE SUBJECT MATTER ON THE ZONING AGENDA IS
PHYSICALLY LOCATED OR ITS NEAREST LOCATION.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida is the governing body for Monroe County, and as the
governing body, the Board of County Commissioners formulates
public policy for the County, and
WHEREAS, land use policies are formulated in part by the
Monroe County Zoning Board, which comes under the jurisdiction of
the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, land use policies that are formulated by the Monroe
County Zoning Board are made at meetings that occur in various
areas of Monroe County, Florida, namely in Plantation Key, Marathon,
and Key West, and
WHEREAS, it would be more practical and convenient for all
parties who have a dispute that has to be resolved by the Zoning
Board to present its grievance before the Monroe County Zoning
Board at the meeting in the area in which the subject matter on the
Zoning Agenda is physically located, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA that all persons must appear to address the Monroe
County Zoning Board in presenting grievances at the meeting in the
area in which the subject matter on the Zoning Agenda is physically
located.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 10th day of May, A.D. 1985.
